Henrique scored 24 goals and 51 points in 82 total regular-season games with the Ducks and Oilers last season. He also added seven points in 17 playoff contests. The veteran forward figures to slot in as Edmonton's third-line center behind Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Henrique scored 65 goals in 202 games over the last three years.

Kane missed the final five games of the Stanley Cup Finals but was reportedly working through an abdomen injury at the time. The veteran winger scored eight points in 20 postseason contests after scoring 24 goals and 44 points during the regular season. The team will likely have a better idea on his outlook over the coming weeks.

Afanasyev was a second-round pick by Nashville in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and was traded to the Sharks this offseason. He spent most of the last three years with AHL Milwaukee and scored 54 points in 65 AHL games during the 2023-24 season. He has one goal in 19 career NHL contests.

The team will have a better outlook on Lehkonen's timeline in the coming months but for now, it seems to be good news. The 28-year-old tallied 16 goals and 34 points in 45 regular-season games before adding another 11 points in 11 playoff appearances. Assuming he's healthy, Lehkonen will be locked into a top-six role during the 2024-25 season.

Meyers has a significant shot of making Seattle's roster out of training camp since he's on a one-way deal, but he may be a frequent healthy scratch if the team's prospects can stick at the NHL level.

Blankenburg had a goal in 12 contests with Columbus in 2023-24. He also provided three goals and 13 points in 24 regular-season outings with AHL Cleveland. Blankenburg will probably start the campaign in the minors, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him get an opportunity with Nashville as an injury replacement during the season.

Driedger will likely compete with Spencer Knight for the backup job behind Sergei Bobrovsky. Driedger spent two seasons with Florida before being taken by the Kraken during their expansion draft. Last season, he posted a strong 2.26 GAA and .917 save percentage in 39 regular-season appearances with AHL Coachella Valley. He then registered a .906 save percentage in 18 AHL postseason appearances. Driedger saw action in only two NHL games during the 2023-24 campaign.

Vanecek had a 17-9-3 record, 3.18 GAA and .890 save percentage in 32 contests with New Jersey last season. The Sharks acquired him in March, but he hasn't made his debut with San Jose due to a lower-body injury. Vanecek is set to compete with Mackenzie Blackwood for the starting job in 2024-25.

Copley is likely to be ready for the start of training camp and will probably begin 2024-25 in the minors while Darcy Kuemper and David Rittich handle the NHL goaltending duties.

7h agoSandstrom agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres on Monday.
Sandstrom has struggled at the NHL level, going 4-18-4 with a 3.66 GAA and .880 save percentage in 30 games while with the Flyers over the last three years. With Philadelphia moving in a different direction after signing Ivan Fedotov to compete with Samuel Ersson, the 27-year-old Sandstrom joins a Sabres organization that is significantly less certain when it comes to the goaltending position. Sandstrom will almost certainly start the year in the minors but could get called up if he can prove himself with AHL Rochester.
